To strengthen our Kasteel van Ordingen team, we are looking for a meetings & events sales representative. Kasteel van Ordingen is a five-star hotel, a true gem in the heart of Haspengouw (near Sint-Truiden and Hasselt). The castle estate features 32 rooms and suites, Restaurant Aurum by Gary Kirchens (1 Michelin star, 15.5/20 Gault & Millau), Bistro Richard, wellness facilities, a lounge, and three meeting rooms for business gatherings. Your role

You will be the first point of contact for businesses and individuals looking to organize an event or meeting at Kasteel van Ordingen. From the initial request to post-event evaluation, you will guide our guests and ensure a flawless execution together with the operational teams. You will develop and implement sales strategies, responding to the needs of (potential) clients with tailored proposals. Additionally, you will analyze market trends and strategically contribute to the further development of our MICE segment. Together with the marketing & sales respresentative, you will work on positioning our offerings strongly and further growing our segment. Since we believe in a hands-on approach and staying connected with our team, you will also work three shifts at the front office every six weeks. This keeps you close to our guests and allows you to experience the dynamics of our hotel in practice.

Your responsibilities

  • Developing and executing sales strategies while responding to client needs.
  • Coordinating and managing events from request to execution and follow-up.
  • Maintaining and expanding client relationships in collaboration with the marketing & sales representative.
  • Preparing and presenting function sheets in the weekly operational meeting.
  • Analyzing market trends and contributing to improvements.
  • Assisting with invoicing and administration.

What we expect from you

  • Experience in event sales or hospitality, with an understanding of the requirements of a five-star hotel.
  • A commercial mindset, proactive approach, and client-focused attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple simultaneous events.
  • Strategic thinking in the further development of our MICE segment.
  • Fluent communication skills in Dutch, French, and English.
  • A hands-on mentality, willing to occasionally support the front office team.
  • Flexibility, including availability outside standard working hours and on weekends.
